Career Description
Schafer Gear Works, Inc., an ISO 9001:2008 company, is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to work in a world class machining environment.
Ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
simultaneously.
• Effectively manage people and workload to
meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Encourage employee participation and
development.
• Monitor employee productivity and provide
feedback.
• Possess knowledge and ability to run quality
and inspection equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effectively interface with other departments
(Engineering, Customer Service, Quality,
etc.) to maximize results.
• Understand and utilize manufacturing
software in conjunction with shop floor
activity.
• Education: College or technical school certification, or equivalent experience in gear industry. Lean Manufacturing a plus.
